Do I need to fast before the blood draw?
Often not, and we will tell you in advance based on what is being tested. If fasting is needed we schedule an early visit so you are not going without food all day.
I stopped my statin because of the aches. What now?
Tell us rather than saying nothing. Muscle symptoms are common and there are several routes worth trying: a different statin, a lower dose, alternate days, or a different class of drug.
