Privacy policy

Last updated 24 August 2026. This policy covers this website. It is not the practice's HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, which covers your medical records and is provided to patients separately.

The short version

This site runs no advertising trackers and sends nothing about you to Google, Meta or any other third party. Traffic statistics are counted on our own server. We set two small cookies so we can tell one visit from another. If you fill in the contact form, we keep what you send so we can call you back.

What we count when you visit

Our own server records, for each page view, the page address, the site you arrived from if any, whether the device is a phone, tablet or computer, the language of the page, and the date and time. It also records when someone taps the phone number, so we know which pages are useful.

Where our hosting provider tells us the country, region or city a request came from, we record that too. We work this out from nothing ourselves: we do not store your IP address at any point.

The two cookies

We set two cookies, both from this website only. Neither contains your name, your email address or anything else about you, and neither follows you to other websites.

• A visit cookie, which holds a random string and expires after thirty minutes of inactivity. It lets us count three pages read in one sitting as one visit rather than three unrelated ones.
• A returning visitor cookie, which holds a different random string and lasts a year. It lets us tell a first visit from someone coming back, without knowing who either person is.

Both are marked so that scripts cannot read them and so they are never sent to other sites. If you would rather not have them, blocking cookies for this site in your browser settings costs you nothing: the site works exactly the same without them, and you simply get counted as a new visitor each time.

We use no advertising, analytics or social media cookies of any kind.

What happens to the contact form

If you send the form, we store the name, phone number, email address, town and message you provide, along with which page you sent it from, so that we can respond. It is stored on our own server and is not shared with anyone outside the practice, and it is not used for marketing.

Please do not put detailed medical information into the form. A web form is not a secure medical channel. Tell us how to reach you and we will discuss the details by phone.

Stopping spam

The contact form carries a hidden signed token and a few automated checks that reject obvious junk. To stop one sender flooding the form, we briefly count recent submissions against a scrambled, one way version of the sender's network address. That is held in memory only, for ten minutes, and is never written to disk or linked to anything else.

How long we keep things

Website statistics, including the cookie identifiers described above, are kept for up to two years and then deleted automatically. Contact form messages are kept while they are needed to respond and to keep a record of the enquiry.

Children

This website is aimed at adults arranging care for themselves or a relative, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete a contact form message. Call 973-607-4911 and ask.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
