About Life Primary Care
We are a house call practice. Our clinicians spend their day driving to patients across six New Jersey counties, because the people who most need a primary care doctor are often the ones who have the hardest time getting to one.
Care that comes to you
That line is on the side of every car in our fleet, and it is the whole model. There is no clinic to travel to and no waiting room. A clinician arrives at your door with a portable exam kit and your chart already open, and a first visit runs 45 to 60 minutes.
That time is not a luxury. It is what makes it possible to examine someone properly, go through every medication bottle in the house, see the stairs and the bathroom and the state of the fridge, and write a plan the family can actually follow.
Where we work
Life Primary Care is based at 120 Eagle Rock Avenue, East Hanover, NJ 07936. That is our office and billing address rather than a clinic: patients are seen at home. We visit Somerset, Morris, Union, Essex, Passaic, Bergen counties. See every town we cover.
Independent of any hospital system
We are not owned by a hospital network and we are not tied to one. We coordinate with whichever hospital treated you and with whichever specialists you already see.

Figures are the practice's own, counted across Life Medical's home visiting services. The 42 minute average covers first visits and follow ups together, which is why it sits below the 45 to 60 minutes a first visit runs. Avoided emergency room trips are the practice's account of visits that would otherwise have meant a trip to the hospital; research on home based primary care, including the CMS Independence at Home demonstration, has found the same pattern.
