How we write our health information
Last updated 25 August 2026.
This page explains how the guides on this site are produced. We publish it because health information deserves to be checked, and because you should be able to see how it was made rather than take it on trust.
Who publishes this
Every guide is published by Life Primary Care, the at-home primary care service of Life Medical. The practice is accountable for what appears here. Where a guide carries no named author, that is deliberate: we attribute to the practice rather than put a clinician's name on something they did not personally write.
We do not invent authors. You will not find a made up doctor's name on this site, and no page claims to have been reviewed by a named clinician unless that review genuinely happened.
Where the information comes from
For anything factual about Medicare coverage, benefits or eligibility, we work from Medicare's own published guidance and from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. For clinical topics we draw on national bodies such as the National Institute on Aging and recognised disease organisations. The sources used are listed at the end of each guide so you can read them yourself.
Where guidance genuinely varies, or where a rule depends on your specific plan, we say so rather than flattening it into a confident answer.
What we will not do
- Invent statistics, percentages or study findings. If we cannot support a number, we describe the pattern in plain words instead.
- Claim an affiliation with a hospital or an insurer that we do not have. We are an independent practice.
- Publish patient photographs or details without written permission.
- Present a marketing claim as a clinical fact.
These guides are not medical advice
Everything here is general information for people arranging care. It cannot account for your own history, medications or circumstances, and it is not a substitute for a consultation. Do not start, stop or change any medication based on something you read here. Speak to a clinician, and if you are having a medical emergency call 911.
Keeping it current
Every guide shows the date it was last updated. Medicare rules in particular change from year to year, so each guide that touches on coverage carries a reminder to confirm current details with Medicare or your plan. We review the guides periodically and when a rule we have described visibly changes.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, out of date or unclear, tell us and we will fix it. Call 973-607-4911 or use the contact form. Corrections to a factual error are made to the page itself, and the last updated date changes with them.
Automated tools
Some drafting on this site is assisted by software, as is now common in publishing. That does not change who is accountable: the practice reviews what is published here and stands behind it. Where an article is produced through an automated publishing tool, it is held to the same standards on this page, and anything that falls short is removed.
